“Teachers Day Function”

The FIRST TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION OF DGF.....

The deep desire to express our appreciation and deepest gratitude to our mentors was the driving force for holding the first ever Teachers Day celebration of DGF.

The venue selected was LHMC auditorium as the institute is an epitome of excellency for Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has a history of 100 years of service to the woman. Another reason was that it is the most central and easily accessible to members of all the forums of DGF.

Our teachers are our sculptors.....we were like the clay which was moulded by them into what we are today. Our knowledge our skills and more significantly our attitude and outlook is a reflection of their hard work and patience.Do you know ----- No professional institutions IIT, IIM, Medical Schools celebrating this teachers day Big question why.

Delhi Gynaecologist forum under the guidance and leadership of
Dr.Urmil Sharma and Dr.ShardaJain, gaveexpression to this desire. The presence of our senior teachers who are legends and pioneers in their fields filled our hearts with gratitude and eyes with tears of joy. Over 400 doctors participated with enthusiasm.

The first ever Oration of Teachers Day was awarded to Dr.ManjuKhemani, President of DGF South. She is the founder president who has painstakingly really build this forum over last two years into a vibrant academic group. She is a teacher in true sense who has taught the right attitude and skills in this changing world of obstetrics and gynaecology through her example.

"Newer Horizons in ART"

The invited guest speakers were Dr.Brig R. K. Sharma who is the Head of the department of Primus hospital and an IVF Specialist. He took us through the emerging newer trends in ART , weaving a whole new world of hope for the infertile couple and doctors. His oratory skills enthralled he audience.

	DR. MANJU PURI

The second invited guest speaker was Dr.ManjuPuri..Director Professor at LHMC. She emphasised in her lecture on being ever alert and prepared in obstetrics ... that is the key to saving a mother who collapses suddenly.
Her very informative and structured talk drove the message clearly to all.Academicbonazza on teachers day was appreciated by one &all .

THE TEACHERS EXCELLENCE AWARDS

Given to three DGF members was an appreciation to their efforts and an inspiration and encouragement to others to contribute academically to their forums. They have set example to youngest to work hard & get similar awards.

The enthusiasm , the effort , the vibrancy, the beauty and colour was spontaneous and infectious. The unity of purpose brought hundreds of members of DGF and WOW together.
