Anemia Mukt Bharat

Introduction
Anemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough healthy red blood cells to carry oxygen to tissues and organs. It is a silent health crisis that affects a significant portion of the Indian population, particularly women and children. To address this issue, the Indian government launched the Anemia Mukt Bharat (Anemia-Free India) mission in 2018. This mission aims to reduce the prevalence of anemia in the country by 3% annually and to achieve a 50% reduction in anemia cases by 2025. In this article, we will delve deeper into the causes, impact, and measures taken to address this issue.
