Awards Function on 16th August 2019
The Delhi Gynaecologist forum & WOWIndia celebrated the 73 Independence Dayon 16 August 2019 at WOOD APPL E with zeal and fervor. Comes August and like always we gear up for celebrating our dayof liberation from the British rule, 15 August, theIndependence day, remembering the sacrifices of patriots who laid their lives so that we breathin freeair.
The program started at 1:30pm with Doctors and WOW members, attired in colors of our National flag, wearing a smile, exuding confidence started coming in large numbers.
Nearlythreehundred doctors from all the DGF forums & WOW India members participated in the programme.
We started this years celebration with the launch of the
National Anthem Video
of the East Delhi Gynaecologist Forum which featured 30 Doctors from East DGF. This video was a true reflection of the unity, dedication and commitment of the members towards their country and forum. It was the culmination of months of hard work of doctors and the video team headed by Mr. Sachin Suri.
This event was followed by DR. APJ ABDUL KALAM’S AWARDS
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalamaward is given to the person who have contributed to
D.G.F. in some field & worked with great dedication.Shri Abdul Kalam our 11thPresidant of India passed away on 27th July 2015. He worked with great dedication for our country and who did not have any possession for himself.Real hero of all, well known as people’s president.

The awardees felt honored to receive their prestigious awards from Dr. Urmil Sharma, Dr. Sharda Jain and Dr. Kamal Buckshee.
This year 2019 , has been significant in the history of DGF. Three new forums have of
1. DGF South West been
2 DGF North West
3 DGF Outer Delhi
formed with the blessing and guidance of Dr, Urmil Sharma and Dr. Sharda Jain. The office bearers of the new forums were congratulated and honoured in this meeting. They were applauded and promised full cooperation and support.
The colourful and vibrant performances of the DGF South members on a song medley,  the Sufi dance by Dr. Manju Barik and Dr. Ila Gupta, Patriotic dance by WOW members clearly was a befitting celebration and appreciation of the excellence awards.
The crowning performance was the skit presented by EDGF doctors depicting the need and urgency to overcome differences of caste and religion to be able to unite for a united and strong India. It was conceived and directed by Dr. Surjit Kapoor and nearly 15 doctors including Dr, Sharda Jain had participated in it.

The final programme was the icing on the cake. The members of all other forums to enthralled the audience with their zest and talent. Dr, Divya Singhal from the DGF North as usual gave an elegant solo performance, the members of DGF West set the audience singing patriotic songs with their dance performance.
As always , the ABCD group of East DGF , true to our expectations , came with a brilliant dance performance on a medley of patriotic songs and set the right tone for the finale.
Then came the finale Free for all, dancing on selected Daesh bhakti Bollywood songs ,top on enthusiasm and energy everyone rocked the floor non stop ...clicking selfies and the hall was resonating with slogans of love for the country OUR India, Bharat... Everybody went home with renewed love for the country and resolve to excel intheir respective field...

Bharat ka rahnae waala hun, bharat kee baat bataata hun...
Long live DGF ...long live India...
