INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION (2018)

Delhi Gynaecologist Forum/WOW INDIA FORUM's INDEPENDENCE DAY FUNCTION CELEBRATION + Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's Awards Function on 21st August, 2018
The Delhi Gynaecologist forum& WOW India Celebrated the 71 Independence Day on 21August 2018 at WOOD APPLE with zeal and fervor. Comes August and like always we gear up for celebrating our dayof liberation from the British rule 15 August, theIndependence day, remembering the sacrifices of patriots who laid their lives so that we breathin freeair, we fixed the day of celebration on 17 Aug, but due to demise of our revered Past Prime minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee jee the program was postponed to 21St August.
The program started at 1:30pm with Doctors and WOW members, attired in colors of our National flag, wearing a smile, exuding confidence started coming in large number. This time we had kept a unique program of honouring the mothers who had adopted green plants and nurturedthem with love ,feeling proud in promoting Green India,a unique concept in itself... Award ceremony for Green angels moms (as we affectionately address them )was followed by Photo session.
Nearly three hundred doctors from all forums & WOW India members participated in the programme. The programme started with paying homage to our past prime minister Shri Atal jee ,who was loved equally by classes and masses, party workers and opposition...two poems of Atal jee were recited in soulful voice by Dr Manju and Dr Purnima Sharma .
This was followed by the lamp lighting ceremony by Dr.Urmil Sharma Dr.Sharda Jain Dr. Kamal Buckshee Dr.ShielaMehra all recipients of excellence award and Dr Sangeeta Gupta , DR SunitaFotedar,Dr. Sonia Malik , Dr.KanwalGujral, Dr SeemaSehgal , DR SunitaVerma , Dr. Ruby Bansal, Purnima Jee and Banu Bansal , Mrs Raj Sharma with saraswati vandana playing in the background making the stage set for beautiful moments to come with talented DGF and WOW members

This was followed by honoring our seniors who have been very quietly and selflessly working for the patients in the best of their ability, unmindful of the prevailing and ailing medical infrastructure struggling with problem of plenty.
LIVING LEGEND AWARD to our dear DR KAMAL BUCKSHEE & DR. SHIELA MEHRA Were given for first time for their great service to field of gynecology.

This event was followed by DR. APJ ABDUL KALAM'S AWARDS

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalamaward is given to the person who have contributed to D.G.F. in some field & worked with great dedication. Shri Abdul Kalam our 11thPresidant of India passed away on 27th July 2015. He worked with great dedication for our country and who did not have any possession for himself.Real hero of all well known as people's president.

Then came the finale Free for all, dancing on selected Daesh bhakti Bollywood songs ,top on enthusiasm and energy everyone rocked the floor non stop ...clicking selfies and the hall was resonating with slogans of love for the country OUR India, Bharat... Everybody went home with renewed love for the country and resolve to excel in their respective field... Hai Preet jahan kee reet sada, main geet wahan kae gaata hun Bharat ka rahnae waala hun, bharat kee baat bataata hun... Long live DGF ...long live India... Yeh mera india, I love. My India
